This is sad and incredibly funny from Sam's viewpoint. Life is a comedy to those who think, right? It's feeling that'll get you every time. Of course, life is also pretty pointless without feeling, but Sam's got work to do, and that's almost as good as meaning.

I love your Sam, the way he tries on responses: would a person with a soul care about that? Huh, could be; oh, well, too late now. He's like a lazy shopper with nothing better to do. Sure, he'll probably mow down an old lady if he has to, but it's a quiet highway, and what are the odds? Dean's so fussy.

I hope Dean doesn't get too used to drinking while Sam drives. Adam could really use sober, souled company, and Dean just has too many reasons to drink in this carnival.
