Uriel was instrumentally dislikable, you were made to dislike him because he called the boys names and was a general ass to everyone, but it meant when he appealed to Cas to change sides, you were already against his agenda because he'd inspired this opposition by virtue of his earlier douchiness. Through fandom, I'm starting to enjoy him again though.
