Hey there! :D Thank you for taking the time to come back and tell me how much you enjoyed this, I sincerely appreciate it!

Dean and Castiel were one of the most difficult relationships to write because there's so little that hasn't already been explored between the two of them. Although they were the couple we would have been the most familiar with, they were plagued with (arguably) the most issues. The outcome was that Dean and Castiel hadn't gotten very far at all. Castiel's death was honestly a surprise for me, too, but you can't write with fear. ;D Though there's something to be said for a healthy pinch of caution.

I was a little concerned that things would remain confusing for too long and I'm sure I lost some people along the way, so thank you for persisting! I'm glad to know the method of my madness worked for you. ^^;

The notion that rules all of these characters is a familiar one: none of them are completely good or evil, nor failures or a success in love. They're defined by their actions, but they can choose to change at any time. While the brothers were driven by passion (e.g. to protect family), the (arch)angels were driven by mission (i.e. any purpose that justified their existence), and the two had to learn to meet somewhere in the middle. I'm so happy that you enjoyed all of the angels and if I had more time I would have loved to give you more of Raphael and Balthazar. Michael and Raphael aren't characters you often see in fic and it was a lot of fun experimenting with them in my sandbox.

As an aside, if you're looking for more SPN!archangel fanfic, I highly recommend checking out [livejournal.com profile] zekkass and [livejournal.com profile] slackerlicious's fanfiction where you'll find plenty of all four.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to write Sam, Dean, and Adam being brothers, and the surrogate father/son relationship between Michael and Bobby was a happy accident. More than anything, Michael wanted his Father back in the beginning and found someone who more than fit the bill in Bobby. Poor Bobby, I think he would have been terrified and bemused. XD

Adam and Michael were seen less than a handful of times on the show, which gave us the perfect sketch to run with their characterisation. Incidentally, if you were interested, I wrote a timestamp to this for my friend who was also one of the betas, though it's completely out-of-context schmoop. I'm really happy that Michael and Adam worked here for you, thank you for reading and taking the effort to leave me this wonderful, wonderful feedback; you completely made my day.

*edited with a fresher link to the timestamp!*
