...you can see most of his humming happens subconsciously when he's distracted. I think that's very spot-on; I can't really picture Bruce bursting out into song unless he's doing the playboy routine. With such a conscious effort to ruthlessly repress parts of his personality, this is exactly where I think they would bubble up.
He seems to have little qualm making a fool of himself at the benefit/expense of others. Ha, so true! It would be such a challenge to write a story where he actually enjoys himself in some kind of situation like that; I think even under the influence he'd have a very difficult time unwinding enough to have his acute awareness of EVERYTHING fade into the background enough for him to genuinely enjoy himself.
Funny, I find Kal so much easier to write. Perhaps because he's a woobie and I ♥ wobbies. *g*
