Superman Returns += 5 People Who Touched Jimmy's Camera (G)
Written for

I was forced to google camera anatomy for this; can I hear an 'amen'?
1) "Hmm." Perry turned the SLR over in his hands as Jimmy hovered, rocking on his heels before Perry's desk. He looked from his boss to his new pride and joy and back again. The camera had cost him almost eight months worth of his salary and he'd buy the entire bull pen lunch before admitting he nearly took the damn thing to bed in his joy.
He had to show it to the boss at the first opportunity, but as Perry's 'hurring' and 'ha'-ing dragged on, Jimmy had a crushing mental image of the next moment wherein Perry's contemplative look turned to a grimace and -
Perry nodded and finally handed it back to Jimmy, who'd gone stiff. "Good. Now take it to the Wayne's dedication of the new wing at General and earn back some of what it cost you."
Jimmy nodded, face white. "Thanks, Boss."
2) "What a bore," Dale muttered, despite scribbling notes on her Blueberry as she surveyed the gallery of Metropolis' finest, brightest and most significant personalities. "Hey, Jimmy, want me to pick you up something from the bar? I hear it's all on the sponsor's tab, so now is the time -"
"We're on the job, Dale," Jimmy lazily admonished, eye trained through the viewfinder as he snapped a picture of the mayor shaking hands with the event's chief benefactor. The Wayne scion was so photogenic it was difficult not to make any profit from his pictures even with a disposable Kodak.
Dale followed his pointed direction. "Hey, nice shot. Did you get it?"
"Cranberry juice, please," Jimmy supplied, already moving onto his next target. While Dale obediently shuffled away, Jimmy pursed his lips, adjusting the aperture and frowned when a foreign hand entered his field of vision and gently settled on his camera. He followed the hand up the length of a finely-suited arm, to a broad shoulder, strong, slender neck and -
Jimmy balked. "Bruce Wayne!"
Bruce graced Jimmy's starstruck awe with his wide, white-toothed smile. "You're from the 'Planet, right? I love the 'Planet. Would you like to take my picture?"
3) "Wo-oo-ow," Jason's eyes were bright with wonder as he reached for Jimmy's camera and Jimmy, who thought Jason had come to borrow more lead pencils, was almost too late in snatching it away.
"Oh no, no, no," Jimmy chastised, trying to keep the hysteria from his voice. He smiled thinly at Lois and Richard's son. "No-one touches the camera, all right, Jason?"
Jason stared at him and slowly retracted his hand. "Sorry, Mister Olsen." Jimmy noticed the kid wasn't tearing up, but Jason was too young to be wearing shame so well so, he sighed and motioned for Jason to come closer.
"All right, just this once. I'll hold it, but you can look through here… see? Now put your hand - gently! Gently, here to zoom in and out," Jimmy guided Jason's hand to gingerly adjust the focus and Jason gurgled excitedly, bouncing on his feet as he peered through the viewfinder. Jimmy couldn't help but grin proudly. "Wanna take a picture?"
"Yeah!"
4) BAM!
Jimmy startled, a chill of horror dashing up his spine when he realised the implications of that sound and spun in his chair to see Bill straightening up as Charlie laughed and slapped Bill on the back. Bill was bouncing Jimmy's camera in the large, clammy palm of his right hand.
"Nice reflexes there, Bill!"
Jimmy gaped. "What the hell, Bill?"
Charlie raised a hand for patience. "Hold up, Jimmy, it was just an accident."
Jimmy shot to his feet and stole his camera back, cradled it against his chest. "Could you please be more careful?"
Bill's good-natured smile twisted into a glower and Jimmy suddenly remembered how small he was in comparison to his clumsy co-worker. "Olsen, keep ya bag outta the aisle, keep y' camera off the bag, and we won't have a problem, capiche?"
Jimmy's eyes narrowed at the taller man. "Would you like a-- ?"
Lois cleared her throat and gestured emphatically with papers in both hands when she had the attention of the three men. "Gentlemen, people need to walk here. Could we move it along?"
Jimmy threw Bill and Charlie one last baleful look before he took his seat and began the necessary task of wiping any trace of foreign touch from his camera.
Petting the camera's body, he resisted the urge to name her.
5) "This is impressive, Jimmy. Very impressive, but it must have really set you back." Clark was peering at some detail on the camera's base as he brought it closer for inspection.
"Nah, she's worth it." Jimmy beamed down from his perch on the arm of Clark's seat as they waited for the boss to come back. Further words of awe and interest blurred in a happy haze in Jimmy's mind as Clark examined Lucia - he'd relented to name her in the end, but kept that fact to himself. He didn't mind Clark handling her because Clark was always so careful and delicate and Jimmy could trust those strong, firm hands whose long fingers were tapering over Lucia's F-stop ring….
"Oh, hey, I'm sorry about knocking into it the other day," Clark interrupted Jimmy's train of thought and handed Lucia back to him. "At least I caught it!"
Jimmy laughed, stifling his inner monologue that swore anyone who so much as scratched her would pay in full. Sadly, yes, even Clark; but Jimmy could make it up to him. He strung Lucia's strap back around his neck. "Hey, do you want to catch up after work today?"
Jimmy noticed Clark's features soften as he considered it. Not soon after, Clark's face lit up in that familiar smile. "Sure, I don't have any other plans… same place?"
It had been five years, but Jimmy didn't miss a beat. "Same place!"

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
How much do I have to pay you to write me Jimmy like this every day? Hmmmmm?
...he nearly took the damn thing to bed in his joy.
JIMMY/CAMERA OTP! Bwahahaha. I just love the way you write so much of his personality into his ownership of Lucia. *hearts Jimmy*
..but as Perry's 'hurring' and 'ha'-ing dragged on,
I can picture Perry doing this so perfectly, LOL.
"Thanks, Boss."
Yay! Thank God Perry knew what to say. Putting him to work was the best compliment he could give ^_^
He followed the hand up the length of a finely-suited arm, to a broad shoulder, strong, slender neck and - Jimmy balked. "Bruce Wayne!"
Heee, nice reveal. And now I kind of want some Jimmy/Bruce. ._. Except replace 'kind of' with 'WOW YES PLEASE MORE.'
Bruce graced Jimmy's starstruck awe with his wide, white-toothed smile.
No, Bruce, you cannot eat him! Well, not in a predatory way, anyhow ;) Perfect description of his smile.
...but Jason was too young to be wearing shame so well so,
All must cave to the adorable powers of Jason White!
Jimmy couldn't help but grin proudly.
♥! This whole scene is so sweet and lovely. :)
Jimmy shot to his feet and stole his camera back, cradled it against his chest.
Awwwww, I can see this part so well. And this explains his persnickety response to Clark knocking her over, too! You rock.
Petting the camera's body, he resisted the urge to name her.
LOL. And somehow, I knew he wouldn't be able to. *g*
He didn't mind Clark handling her because Clark was always so careful and delicate and Jimmy could trust those strong, firm hands whose long fingers were tapering over Lucia's F-stop ring…
Um... I'll be in my bunk. *g* BWUH!
I may have your brain, but you own my SOUL. Damn, this is some fine Jimmy. *treasures*

YAY Jimmy fic! This was so hilarious! I was especially struck by Bruce's section. I often forget that Bruce is supposed to be a male Paris Hilton so seeing this is AWESOME.
I also love the fact that Jimmy really doesn't sleep with the Licia. REALLY. *LMAO*
