THREE SENTENCE AU MEME
Give me pairings (or characters). Give me an AU setting. I will write you a three-sentence fic.

I will also finally be responding to comments and getting down to work on the draft of

xmenbigbang this morning. I have a week (and a clear outline, thankfully). Stranger miracles have happened. ;P

The story will follow the Brotherhood after the end of X-Men: First Class with background Charles/Erik, Erik/Raven, Azazel/Riptide, and Alex/Hank/Sean, but they're incidental to the story.

What are people's opinions on listing background character relationships when the movement is primarily gen?

As far as maximum security prisons went, there were right ways to do it: 1) make sure you already had family on the inside, 2) make sure that family had established connections with the right people, 3) hope to hell that family was feeling sentimental enough to extend that good favour to you when you were ‘lucky’ to be falsely accused and sentenced to the same facility.

Sam didn’t even have to wait for night to fall before the first gang decided to test him in the yard: Alastair, the guy’s name had been, but then the crowd parted like water and there was Adam with the same slouch of ease, looking as bored as the day they sentenced him to twenty-five years for being too swift with a razor when a businessman put his hands where they weren’t welcome; Adam appeared the same except for the new stripes of ink on his neck that Sam would later learn were the tips of wings he would also inherit.

A wide berth was assured wherever Adam walked and Sam followed him to meet the reason why his younger brother had reason to walk like he was on a Sunday stroll: seated on one of the yard tables, a scattershot of loyal inmates providing its protection, Lucifer’s gaze raked over Adam, heavy and familiar, but it was Michael who brushed the tattoo on Adam’s skin with equal measures of fondness and possession; the infamous Angelus brothers measured the length of Sam with a single glance (four life sentences each for the murders of almost their entire family in a mob feud; their father, the Godfather, was still missing), Sam sent up a brief prayer to whoever was listening, and Adam smiled, calm and glad, like now Sam was exactly where he was supposed to be.

Adam being the BAMF gang member, while Sam is anxious about his new role in prison, kills me so softly! I should not find the descriptions of Adam, Michael and Lucifer being vicious murderers as hot as I do, should I? UNF!

This would have been one of the excuses for razorplaying!Adam, but for Sam it'd be a mental battle between trying to clear his name, understand his brother, and surviving in the prison's food chain. I think he'd be in denial about being stuck there, as many new inmates are in the beginning. And murderous, overlording MAL trinity? Mmm, delicious.

I think it's impossible for me to dislike anything you ever write, and the Prom!AU has a special place in my heart because it's for me, but if you ever want to expand any of these (after big bang madness, of course) this would be the one! Or, you know, Mob!AU, since I could get all the characters being gorgeously murderous in that, too. ;)

As I said, though, whatever you write ends up a breath of fresh air, so I'm perfectly okay with being patient. ♥

You are so sweet to me, you really are. <33333 I would love to expand on these 'verses, but the easiest way may be to actually attack it through more 3 sentence prompts; they're quick, bite-sized snapshots, and I don't have to worry about them sitting on a back burner. So, if you're inclined, feel free to prompt away! Prom!AU! Prison!AU! All the AUs.

You're opening up the floodgates, darling, but I'm going to sorely resist my temptation to ask for all of them getting expanded for a few: prison AU, Prom AU (because, come on, it's my precious) and teacher/student AU. After all, I need to see what happens during detention; the devil won't let himself be beaten that easily, right? If you need specificity by way of prompts, I can probably think something up, but I'm a bad prompter and you're consistently amazing when left alone with your brilliance, so...

But make sure XBB is your priority. As I've said, I'm excited about anything you write, and waiting for one or the other doesn't strain my patience whatsoever. ♥

XBB is definitely my priority, atm, but I am still attempting to answer all comments, otherwise that falls behind. Contemplating bringing my laptop in to write during lunch....

You're so good to me. ♥ I know what you mean about drowning under a sea of comments if you don't gradually trim them; this meme really swamps the inbox all it's own, but it's amusing! Has XBB been flowing well? If you want to go even faster, writing during lunch might be the way to go and I'm sure it'll all be worth it when it's done, posted and lavishing under the praise of all. ;D
