Because this fandom is so pliant to crossovers, I thought I'd rec some interesting pieces I've found in my time. These are listed in no particular order.

Title: Look What My Baby Can Do [PG] by [livejournal.com profile] dramaphile
Fandoms: Supernatural & Transformers
Summary: The Impala is a transformer.
WHY: See summary above. As if that is not the coolest prospect next to a Raptor transformer, the Impala was slick to begin with, but this idea amps the cool factor to an entirely new level. I must see the new Transformers movie, preferably sooner rather than later. This ficlet also has a sequel punctuates Sam/Dean and jealousy of a pretty, pretty car if you decide to continue.

Title: Turned From Grace [PG] by [livejournal.com profile] mhalachaiswords
Fandoms: Supernatural & House, M.D.
Summary: Robert Chase was a coward. More than that, he was a failure.
WHY: To the usual suspects, this is the House and SPN crossover I keep harping on about. It's an incredibly succint piece that could easily slot into House and SPN's normal 'verses, a prime example of how short and sweet can be used well. Besides, I'm supporting the Australian on this show, he's a character with no illusions about his weaknesses [steals Chase's labcoat]. Highly Recommended!

Title: Cellmates [PG] by [livejournal.com profile] nevcolleil
Fandoms: Supernatural & Prison Break
Summary: Lawman comes down from the gallows for Sam and Dean. And sticks them in Fox River.
WHY: I was in love with both of these shows until Prison Break went into its second season and, er... killed off my favourite character. [sniffs] The show's calibre may still be high, but I'm at least nine episodes behind. This may be a premature rec, but Nev's writing never disappoints and this is an interesting lead-in twisting the events of Prison Break's first season. Plus, Dean's going to fuss up a storm in lock-up and Dean growling at others is never something I'll pass up.

Title: Acts of God Not Covered by [livejournal.com profile] kaylashay81
Fandoms: Supernatural & Angel the Series
Summary: Lindsey's first client since his promotion to Junior Partner has a problem with the fine print of his contract.
WHY: Well written and pretty comical, though it may not intend to be, seeing the Yellow Eyed Demon getting testy because of a pre-agreed contract with Wolfram and Hart is not a side we're likely to see through Sam and Dean. Plus, Angel!verse makes me nostalgic. I luffs teh gen.

Title: When Fandoms Collide [PG] by [livejournal.com profile] halfshellvenus
Fandoms: Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, E.R., Prison Break, Law and Order: Criminal Intent
Summary: Four fantastic 100 word drabbles for five fandoms.
WHY: So much character! So much skill! So much said with so little, I love drabbles for this reason and these are exceptional. Additional kudos to [livejournal.com profile] halfshellvenus for Dean demanding Sam flex his brain and be helpful. Highly Recommended. The fandom needs more drabble like this.

And last, but by no means least...

Title: Weak Spot [PG] by [livejournal.com profile] spastic_visions
Fandoms: Supernatural & Harry Potter
Summary: Voldemort's weak spot, as it turns out--rock salt.
WHY: BEST CROSSOVER OF EITHER FANDOM EVER. EVAR. I cannot stress this enough -- stop browsing and clicky the above. "Weak Spot" tells of the culmination of The Boy Who Lived's long and angst-ridden war. And Harry has but one passing line; bonus! If you've been dragged along the HP fandom since it was the hippest trend in high school and everyone wanted a pointy stick, this may be a welcome read for you.

Wow, there is now wa-aa-ay too much food in this house. At least we won't have to cook for the next week.
