Except that I have the memory of a goldfish. Somebody please remind me before May that I signed up for this?

I went to dinner with a friend the other night and while waiting for our chai lattes, she suggested I should try a Big Bang since I was looking for a writing challenge and have oddly never done a BB before. She's going to kick me in the ass when she realises I'm not writing something gen of at least 150,000 words, though (she's a very fast reader, but I'll make it extra plotty just for her). XD

Then I got talking to ladyknightanka, but I really can't blame her, either. This one's all me: while reading through the sign-ups, I came across hers with the mod response that it should be fine if she writes for Michael/Adam. I'm sure the mod meant nothing unkind by it, but even after I re-read the rules --

Should be fine? Should be?

I'm not a spiteful person, but it appears that I'm easily motivated.

Aww, thank you for the offer! Are you sure you wouldn't mind betaing while writing your own piece? I'd be looking for checks of everything from grammar, punctuation to content flow and characterisation: the whole nine yards, and I have a pretty thick skin that appreciates straightforward and constructive feedback. So, go nuts! My offer to beta for you also still stands, but I'd recommend getting an additional pair of eyes because I'm a notoriously slow reader. XD Also let me know what you'd like me to check for you, so I don't miss anything.

I wouldn't want us confusing each other, either, since we're writing the same pairing. So... maybe send our stories to each other when they're already finished to curb any confusion? What do you think? Would this work for you or would you to be beta'd progressively as you write?

We're going to be the primordial Midam BBs, and then people will eventually follow in our footsteps when we make the pairing popular, lol. Hopefully, anyway.

I definitely don't mind betaing for you, but your idea to beta when we're done may be best. I'm too easily distracted, anyway. All I know is you definitely need a beta to participate in the BB, and we may as well stick together, especially since I really don't mind peeking privileges for before your fic is posted. xD

Lol, I know, I just want the preview of yours as well. XD I did see that rule about requiring a beta and I think it's a great idea. I will do my very beta best for you!

I will try and complete this before May so you can have a chance to have a look before then. What's more likely to happen is that I finish the rought draft just in time to send it to the artists and edit/beta all through May. I have to check the dates again, my connection's slipping in and out over here.
