Date: 2011-05-02 01:35 pm (UTC)Now you're making me nervous about this artist claiming. What if my artist and I have terrible chemistry? What if nobody claims because I scared them all away with my shopping list of characters and warnings of curtain fic in the country? ... Actually, now that's just making me laugh - we'll be fine! *smishes you*

Date: 2011-05-02 01:46 pm (UTC)I don't want to make trouble for the mods as we're not supposed to share summaries yet, but I can tell you the primary pairing is Michael/Adam, all the surviving Winchesters are on board and it also features virtually every angel on the show. Apparently the occasional two sentence preview is okay, so how about:
“… Was that our Adam?”
Dean stretches his memory back and remembers how Adam had handled himself, standing tall, more confident and at ease than he was before he’d even fallen into the cage: the way he’d smile at Dean sometimes, warm and encouraging, as if he knew a secret for their survival; the way he’d sit with Sam, shoulder-to-shoulder, and assure him that it was all going to be okay when he thought Dean couldn’t hear them (and Dean had wanted to hit him upside the head for talking about things he didn’t know); the way Adam hadn’t run from Michael when the angel eventually found them, and then looked surprised when Michael punched a hand through his chest.

Date: 2011-05-02 03:16 pm (UTC)Actually, I did! And I only had to tweak my story a little to take advantage of some of the new developments, so ramble away!

Date: 2011-05-03 12:02 pm (UTC)Where to start...As a whole I wasn't impressed much by 19ep,somehow the whole destroy the Mother of all with that much of a cheese move seemed a bit,I don't know, downplayed? There wasn't much consistency in the whole story with the Mother, on one hand she is older than Castiel and can cut him off from his powers( and he is supposed to be an Archangel now) just like that, she evades hunters and angels alike but she can't find Crowley on her own?! not to mention she died pretty unspectaculary...and seemed down right easy to kill. Then came the moment with purgatory, to be honest this wasn't that much of a surprise but come on angels don't know where it is when they are supposed to have been around since the beginning of time?
Oh and Castiel working with Crowley I liked that, the darker more intense Cas has grown on me, I think this way we see just how ancient he is and how much of a warrior and he is in war after all, so yes working with Crowley-that makes sense to me.What doesn't( and I'm talking for the whole 6 season now) is how Cas just switched from almost human and caring about what his human friends think to practically the Cas we were first introduced to back in season 4.
I understand he has many responsibilities now and a year has past but that attitude was apparent from the moment he was brought back to life in Swan Song.Actually the way SS was handled wasn't the best in my opinion, it felt rushed to me and like it was changed at the last possible moment to make connection with S6.It had epic moments, I won't deny that, but I think a two ep finale would've worked much better.Lets hope they don't do the same half asses job this season.
Speaking about S7 how do you feel about it?I wonder what the story line would be?I don't think there are any possible end of the world scenarios left unexplored by the show and it wold be such a shame if the opportunity for S7 was wasted?May be we get to see a return of Lu and Michael?Or Gabriel.
I'll share a secret with you( I prefer Nick/Lucifer to Sam/Lucifer and John/Michael to Adam?Micheal, Adam I love as simply Adam).

Date: 2011-05-03 01:09 pm (UTC)The show is a little unclear on exactly their lore re: age of angels, if it's since the beginning of the world or if there were in fact other creatures around before them. I get the impression that Castiel is a much younger angel in comparison to the others, though, so perhaps Mother meant she was older than him specifically?
I'm interested in the idea of Castiel going dark side, I think that would be a fun twist. Cas' personality seems to directly correspond to how empowered he's feeling at the time; it's pretty funny to watch.
S5 got too inflated on its scale of importance for the writing and world to keep up with; it was very rushed. They did a fair job of wrapping it up in the end, but there was still much they shoehorned in with the analogies between Sam and Dean with Michael and Lucifer. I also have my fingers crossed for a better season finale this time around.
Now that I've heard Adam's coming back in Season 7, I'm all for it! :D I have no idea what they'll be doing, but if Cas if the new big bad they have to contend with, it could be an interesting struggle. I think it would extend Gamble's intent to bring the story back to a character level and let the boys muddle through the conflict of trying to reconcile Cas as the enemy, if Show went that route. I would love to see Lucifer and Michael again, but I think the chances are slim. *sad face*
(I like secrets and I'm happy you thought you could share these pairing preferences with me! John/Michael, especially, mmm... <3)

Date: 2011-05-03 07:49 pm (UTC)We don't get much on angels,do we?But do you remember the episode with the elves or were it fea, they talked about different dimensions then and I was left with the impression there were multiple of "worlds" so to speak, not to mention the episode with Dean and Sam going to a parallel universe,I quite liked that, the idea of a complicated structured Creation, the vastness of it.And yes Castiel is much younger or at the very least younger than some of the angels, the way I understand it he belongs to one on the later "generations" of angels after or closely before Lucifer's fall. But as a whole I do believe angels are supposed to be the oldest and most powerful of god's among God's creations.Remember how Lu always said humanity was the last and angels were the first of God's children,so I think she spoke about Castiel specifically.
Completely dark side,as in never ever reconciling with the other two members of Team Free Will,oh no,poor Dean he never gets to keep the people he truly cares about round for long. It'll be mess of feelings for all involved. And you're right,it seems like the more powerful he is, the more of a bastard he seems to be.Let's give him a break, though, he is a newly made Archangel, he's bound to be little too full of himself.
S5 I liked as a whole, there were incredible moments and there were some awful places.Understandably it was action-packed and required a greater amount of time for on every detail, something that was half-done, still I liked it better that S6, I'm not quite certain hat it is, what is lacking, whether it's the almost none-existent feeling of the aftermath of Armageddon,or may be the action and the distinct lack of a "great" threat...It seemed like everyone was trying to pick up the pieces but they were forgetting important bits and leaving some of what they already had behind.Fingers crossed for good finale this time around.
Adam IS COMING BACK(does a happy dance)!!!May be that is exactly what we all need, Sam gets to play big brother for a change(and wasn't he cute when he first tried it),Dean gets to wallow in self-hate for leaving the youngest Winchester behind and Bobby gets someone else to call idjit.I know, I know, slim chance of that happening, but I can hope.
(I meant that as in which angel what vessel used :D, but John/Michael as a pairing...now that sounds intriguing...goes away and starts plotting...
