The 'Five Things' Challenge!

Comment on this post with a 'five things' prompt for one of the fandoms listed below and I will answer with five alternate responses to the prompt, e.g. "Five People Rodney Banned From His Lab" (Stargate Atlantis), "Five Times Batman Called on Nightwing for Help" (Batman), "Five Things Gabriel Misses of Heaven" (The Prophecy), etc.

As this is very experimental, five prompts will be available per fandom -- if this works well the number might expand the next time around. Lurkers welcome, I don't have to know you if you'd like to request something. You can request as many as you like, so long as it's still available on the list.

Five Prompts Fandoms (bolded numbers next to fandom name indicate how many prompts are taken):

[+] X-Men (movie!verse) [5]
[+] Batman (movie!verse) [5]
[+] Hellboy (movie!verse) [4]
[+] The Prophecy [3]
[+] Superman Returns [2]
[+] Pirates of the Caribbean [2]
[+] Heroes [1]
[+] Supernatural
[+] Stargate (Movie)
[+] Stargate SG-1
[+] Stargate Atlantis
[+] Firefly/Serenity [3]
[+] Tekken

It's like offering myself up as a lamb to the slaughter.... I'm electing [livejournal.com profile] trascendenza as my human shield.

#1: Ooooooooh. I really had no idea where you'd take this prompt and WOW, you took it all over the place and wonderfully so. This first one really describes the sensation of immersion I imagine Bruce went through.

#2: Oh! That scene! Damn, girl, but you are good. Canonical excellence, is what. So nicely written and perfect for the prompt.

#3: *laughs and hands poor Brucie a coffee and a little sitcker that says "Hello, my name is..."*

#4: Oh, dang, it's been too long since I've seen Batman Returns. But heeeee, Bruce's apology! ♥

#5: Clark looked far too awake, blue eyes glittering in mirth, his lips pinched as he stifled his smile. Impossible. Bruce resolutely closed his eyes again and ignored him.
THE HEIGHT OF ADORABLENESS! Eeeeeeeeeee!!

Mmmmmyes, I can see that I will be pestering you for fic quite often now that you've given me a taste. :D

My brain has short-circuited with happiness. I shouldn't read comments at one in the morning.

This was by far the hardest prompt you gave me [1]. I spent a good amount of time bouncing off [livejournal.com profile] necromage, having one of those dialogues where you have two completely different conversations with each other. She complained about work, I chortled about Batman (I think I had the better deal) and neither of us was really listening to the other. :P These 'discussions' work rather well.

[has mental image of Lucius Fox taking over the Wayne intercom system] "Bruce, this is God. The staff want their espresso machine back."

Batman Returns is by far the only film of the original four worth watching. It's brilliant in its characterisation and just so satisfying... especially if you've been having a Batman film marathon and fell asleep in the first movie sometime after the Joker launched his dastardly evil plan. It was, uh, hella exciting. (I confess Batman Returns also moulded me as a Batman/Catwoman 'shipper as a child. Unofficially, I still 'ship them in my little fandom heart.)

Ha! In the end, it always comes back to Clark. I am ashamed.

... No, I'm not. [snuggles in the warmth of Super!Slash]

[1] I reserve the right to retract this statement at a later date after I've tackled your other prompts. :}

Ah, but it's a good way to be short-circuited, isn't it? I've actually considered just making a word file of some of the nicest feedback I've ever gotten and just keeping it around for anytime I'm feeling sad.

[livejournal.com profile] tinheart and I have discussions like that a lot, heheheh. It's nice because it has all the benefits of discussion without someone actually disagreeing with you. *g*

"Bruce, this is God. The staff want their espresso machine back."
HAHAHAHAHA. I love Lucius and Alfred. They are the two pillars that Batman stands on, aren't they? And they're such a cute OTP, too. Oooooh. *ponders giving you an Alfred/Lucius prompt*

I like Batman/Catwoman, too :D Partially because any woman who wears a suit like that... well, I doubt there are many people that would throw her out of bed. ;)

Shame is for people who don't know how to have fun, m'dear. And you do make Clark/Bruce quite fun. :D YAY SUPER!SLASH!

That's a totally legitimate pick-me-up. Nice feedback always brightens my day! My state of mind last night wasn't helped by the fact the family and I'd come back from a party where there was strong, mind-altering punch, group singing and it was all very nostalgic. ♥

I wonder how many other people saw the strange and sudden potential of Alfred/Lucius. I'd have a hard time slashing them myself because I revere them so, but that struck me in the face when I was skimming through Batman Begins the other day. There's a history there, make no mistake.

Eee, Batman/Catwoman = my closet joy. Thank you, Tim Burton.

Group singing, d'awwww. There's really nothing that will unite a group of people faster than singing. I think that's the way to world peace, myself. ;)

I read some really good Alfred/Lucius once. Dang if I can remember where... oh, wait. I think it was at the porn battle. I should dig up that link and add it to my recs page.

Yeah, I love old, settled-in couples with lots of history, and they have that in spades.

Gah... must... re-watch... movie... now the question is, do I want to watch them all, or just that one? Hmmmm. *ponders*

Singing and sport = the path to world peace. As long as we're not singing "Imagine all the people.... "

[lol] PORN BATTLE. Is it in the interest of my health to abstain? (MORGAN FREEMAN, FTW.)

Well, I think you'll appreciate Returns against the contrast of the other three. I really only suggest watching Batman Forever and Batman and Robin if you're interested in Jim Carrey as a villain and seeing Robin get pwned on every mission. I made it through all four, but you might enjoy them more than I did. And if you watch them all you must, of course, watch them in the order they were produced.

Wellll, it was a porn battle, but you could just vaguely imply that porn happened, as was the case with this one:

http://oxoniensis.livejournal.com/286546.html?thread=11972178#t11972178

That seals it. I'll just have to sucker one of my friends into watching them all with me one weekend. :D I love seeing things in order, so all of them it is, then.
