Taking advantage of being one room away from the wireless modem, I decided to download the first episode of Sanctuary, a new sci-fi web series from the creators of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis.

(It couldn't be helped, Azureus Vuze (C) plugs it in your face everytime the application loads.)

I don't know how often going Web has been elected to pilot a new series, but what this show has done is offered its first two parts free. For all subsequent parts it asks you to pay $2.49, which, is pretty reasonable considering how much money I can spend on a meal.

( SANCTUARY: Wherein I enjoy seeing familiar faces, make unconstructive commentary, and wish desperately for vampires and werewolves to be banned from this show. )

I hope this show is purposely luring me into a false coccoon of disappointment, preparing to slap me sideways with its creative and technical ingenuity in the next installment. I has part two. I will find out shortly.

I remember being underwhelmed by the Heroes pilot, but I'd heard good things about it and determined to keep watching. Today it's one of those shows I follow every week although not everyone's had the same reaction. I haven't heard *anything* about Sanctuary, but while nothing's driving me to keep on watching, I will see what I can in support of my SG actors.

Not going to consult Wiki at this stage [1]. That would be, like, cheating.

[1] At least, not until I start tearing my hair out.

After years of griping and grieving I finally turned around and introduced original Stargate icons to the Internets. I find it impossible to believe that there are no icon posts for this film out there, hopefully this is an indication of my poor Googling technique more than anything.

I am so tired... but yay, STARGATE! These icons are heavily themed around Ra and his guards Anubis and Horus, though there are some general and miscellaneous features of other characters, e.g. original!Colonel O'Neill who amused me so much with a single picture. Sorry for the heavy recycling, but there's a story behind it: I was convinced that none of the numerous media players on my computer could screencap so I recycled what I could find of official images online. Suffice to say the degree of material is wanting.

necromage eventually joined my plight and while she was testing Paint I realised I had Media Player Classic -- lo and behold!

MEDIA PLAYER CLASSIC IS THE ANSWER TO ALL CAPPING PRAYERS. I now have superfluous Anubis and Horus icons to accompany their Lord, YESSAH. Victory! I got carried away with the rate of making these so the majority are text-less, but please note that textless icons are not free bases. If you'd really like to smack a visible line in one or several, drop me a line and I'll probably say yes.
